**Sculpture from the Düsseldorf Art Academy on view at Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen: Since 1945, sculptors who have taught or studied at the renowned Düsseldorf Art Academy have been responsible for a series of decisive and influential artistic impulses. Professors such as Ewald Mataré, Erwin Heerich, Joseph Beuys, Klaus Rinke, Irmin Kamp, Fritz Schwegler, Rosemarie Trockel, Hubert Kiecol, Katharina Fritsch, and Rita McBride. **Divided/Undivided: Art in Germany 1945 to 2010 on view at Galerie Neue Meister in Dresden..In August 2011, the construction of the Berlin Wall – symbol of the separation of the two former existing German states – had its 50th anniversary. As a follow-up to this event, the Galerie Neue Meister shows German-German art from the post-war period until the present on a large scale and primarily from its own holdings.While in the West an abstract vocabulary prevailed, in the East realistic depiction dominated. Includes work of Karl Otto Götz. On view until August 25, 2013
